Accelerated master's programs: The deadline for South Dakota Mines students applying to an accelerated master's program is the start of the final semester of the bachelor's degree. Visit our accelerated master's program page for more information.

Distance students planning to attend online may apply up to the 30 days prior to the start of the term. Start terms are available in Fall, Spring, and Summer.

Applications can be considered after the stated deadlines in most programs, but timely admittance and/or funding may be affected. Self-funded international applicants are typically considered up to 90 days prior to the semester start date (60 days for domestic U.S. applicants). If you submit an application package after the deadline and it cannot be processed in time for the semester requested, your application can be deferred to the next start date without any additional paperwork or fees.
